Biography:

Mae is a current Georgetown graduate student and sustainability professional with an interest in the food and agriculture industries. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies, focusing her studies on environmental justice, international culture, and conservation. By pursuing a Masters of Science in Environment and Sustainability Management at Georgetown University, Mae is deepening her understanding of sustainable business fundamentals and the role of conservation within corporations. Mae worked for three years as marketing manager at a sustainable food startup in Oakland, CA, partnering with women’s farming cooperatives in Latin America, West Africa, and SE Asia to expand their access to the US Market. She also led the company’s environmental initiatives including a carbon footprint analysis and sustainable packaging initiatives. In addition to her professional work, Mae volunteers as the head of marketing for the international non-profit Impact Consulting, providing consulting services to NGOs and social enterprises in the greater LA area. Mae is also a part-time teaching assistant at Intown Preschool in Georgetown and loves working with children!
