Biography:

My name is Natalia, but I generally go by Nat. I was born in Colombia and lived there until I moved to the US in 2018. I’m currently an Environmental Science and Policy M.S. student at George Mason University. My thesis project will focus on understanding the Maijuna community’s perspective regarding the functioning and management of the MKRCA. I'm very passionate about environmental justice, the decolonization of conservation practices, and the empowerment of Indigenous peoples and local communities.
