Biography:

Anthony is a rising sophomore in Georgetown University’s Environment and Sustainability program under the Earth Commons. Besides academics, Anthony is very involved in Georgetown’s music scene and enjoys learning about music through cultures around the world. While he has never participated in research before, Anthony is excited to assist in the fieldwork for the Mammal Conservation Lab to learn techniques that will prepare him for a career in environmental science. Particularly, he is interested in exploring the ecological behavior of various species in microbiomes like "supay chakras" and learning about the biodiversity of the Amazon. A lifelong Spanish speaker, Anthony is excited to apply language and ethnographic skills learned in the classroom during the cultural immersion.
