Merry Ostheimer

Merry Ostheimer is an elementary school teacher at West Park Place Elementary School, a public school in Newark, Delaware and holds degrees in Elementary Education (B.S) from University of Delaware and School Counseling (M.S) from Wilmington College. She loves to continue her education by working with the Delaware Teachers Institute where she collaborates with fellow teachers and University of Delaware professors to write curriculum. Merry also works with National Geographic as a mentor for teachers as they work through their National Geographic Educator Certification process. Merry's passion is teaching students about nature and building an explorer’s mindset in her students. Her mission is to cultivate a curious attitude in her students and inspire them to want to be responsible to make a change in their own habits and to make their world a better place.
