Full ACEER Conservation Fellow

Brian Griffiths is a Fulbright Fellow and human ecologist working with OnePlanet, Inc. and George Mason University. His research is a collaboration with the indigenous Maijuna people of the Peruvian Amazon, who are one of the most endangered indigenous groups in Peru. He works with the Maijuna to study how hunting impacts mammal populations in an enormous protected area in northeastern Peru. He works closely with hunters to understand how they make decisions while hunting, and use camera traps to study the populations of local game mammals.
